European Commission regularly reviews exemptions to the Lead regulation in order to determine whether they should be continued, and, like the ELV Directive, the RoHS Directive will be also reviewed in 2021.
As in the case of the ELV directive, a questionnaire for industry representatives has been prepared by a working group of the European Commission to assess the status of scientific and technological progress. We, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation (Company President: Yasunobu Suzuki; Address: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) participated in this survey.
